Happy 7th Birthday Elisa!!!

We had so much fun on Elisa's birthday.  We sent her on a treasure hunt and she got a new bike!  She could hardly wait for Dave to adjust the seat so she could take it for a spin.
Elisa's school carnival was on her birthday, she was excited to celebrate her birthday there.  They had fun on the crazy train ride, and all the other games and activities.
I decided it was time to tell Elisa why everyone reacts so much when we tell them her birthday.  She had the best reaction of anyone.  She said, "wow I am lucky.  All those people died, but I was born."  She is very proud of her birthday and loves the fact that people put up lots of American flags on her birthday.
Two of Bethany's favorite things, water, and the trampoline.  I don't think she gets any happier.  We always have something for everyone to open when there's a birthday and this is what Mckenzie got on Elisa's birthday.
Usually only about half of the people we invite to birthday parties actually come, so I let Elisa invite a lot of friends this year.  Almost all of them showed up, I think there were 16 girls there.
All the girl cousins at the party.  Elisa was loving life!
Marti and Adam loaned us their toddler bed so we can get Bethany out of the crib for the baby.  I was not excited to move her out of the crib that she sleeps perfectly in, but she loves the new bed.  Saturday was her first night in the new bed and she went to sleep just like she was in her crib.  Last night she did fall out once, but after Dave held her for a second he put her back in the bed and she was fine.  Thank you Marti and Adam!

Good luck with the toddler bed. We have yet to make that switch for Clarke. We have to get bunk beds first. It's so sad to see them grow up into a real bed--it's kind of a coming of age, don't you think? I'm dreading that. :)
